  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 ounces milk
  • 2 ounces strawberry syrup (or use fresh strawberries and mash them)
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate


Butter an 9 by 9 inch shallow baking pan.

Combine sugar, butter, milk and strawberry syrup into a large saucepan and place over low heat.

Stir constantly while bringing the mixture to a boil gently. Place candy thermometer in the saucepan and boil the mixture until it reaches 234 degrees F.

Take the pan off the heat and stir until the bubbles subside. Beat rapidly with a big spoon while mixture thickens and cools down. Pour the straweberry mix into the prepared baking pan. Wait til completely cold.

Melt the chocolate and cut out the cold fudge with shape cutters or into pieces. Dip into melted chocolate and place on a plate for serving.
